About Chapter 1606
The Montgomery GI Bill® - Selected Reserve Educational Assistance Program, also known as MGIB-SR or Chapter 1606, provides educational benefits to eligible members of the Selected Reserve, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Army National Guard and Air National Guard.
Usually, these benefits are disbursed monthly to students, with students receiving their VA education benefit payments either on or after the first day of the month following the due date for payment.
It is very important for students receiving Chapter 30 benefits to verify their enrollment on a monthly basis. Enrollment can be verified in 3 ways:

- If you do not have internet access or prefer not to use the internet to verify your enrollment, you may call 1-877-823-2378 to verify by phone and follow the prompts.
